How to Brew White Tea?

White tea is highly versatile and can be brewed in many ways using different tea wares, even with your daily drinking cup which is why our whole leaf white teas can be enjoyed in pyramid tea bags all for your convenience. From the simplest to more elaborate brewing methods, try them all out to discover the joy of brewing a cup of good taste, refreshing white tea.

Drinking Cup

The most convenient way to enjoy white tea is to steep one pyramid tea bag in a cup of hot water of about 90 to 100 degree celsius for 3 to 5 minutes. Subsequently, add hot water again and let the teabag steep for 5 to 10 minutes for the 2nd and 3rd brews.

Thermal Flask

Depending on your personal taste preference, steep 1 or 2 pyramid tea bags or 2g to 4g of tea cake in a 300ml thermal flask, using hot water of 100 degree celsius. This is perfect for cold weather or in air conditioning.

Water Bottle (Cold Brew)

Cold brewed tea has higher antioxidant levels while containing less tannin and less caffeine. That's right! You will be surprised by its refreshing aroma and clean smoother taste. All you need to do is to drop 1 or 2 pyramid teabags in a bottle of water and pop it into the refrigerator for 4 hours.

Alternatively, leaving the bottle in room temperature works just as well. Simply drop a teabag or two into your bottle before you leave your home, and start drinking a few hours later. This is perfect when you're constantly on the move and will not have access to hot water. For a second brew after you've finished the tea, simply add more room temperature water. The taste will be lighter, but rest assured that it will still taste smooth and not be bitter.

Brewing white tea with your favourite teapot is truly the perfect way to relax yourself after a busy day or during the weekend. Steep loose tea leaves in hot water of 90 to 100 degree celsius for 3 to 5 minutes for the 1st brew, and for 5 to 10 minutes for the 2nd and 3rd brews.

The best way to enjoy aged white tea is by boiling it over a stove for about 3 to 5 minutes. You will be rewarded with a fuller extraction and release of the jujube flavours and herbaceous tones found only in premium aged white tea.
